UPDATE:
  • Reservations are required for school groups, clubs, charter groups, family reunions, etc.
    Large groups (over 20 persons) may be divided into smaller, more manageable ones at
    our discretion.
  • Peak Season (May thru September):  * Minimum number to receive a group discount
    on a weekend is 20.   Groups are generally scheduled around public tour times during
    our peak season.
  • Off Season (March, April, October, November):  *Group reservations may be made for
    Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays between 9 am and 3 pm.  Other days may
    be open depending on staff  availability.    A minimum of 25 persons (adults) is required
    to reserve a tour and/or receive a group discount on a weekday during the Off-season.  
  • Closed  December, January, and February, and on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
    and New Year's Day.  The site is also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • School field trip organizers should contact us for school policy, which is slightly different
    from the above.
  • Because this is an outdoor environment, all tours are weather permitting and could be
    cancelled at the last minute if wet weather should create muddy conditions.
